The master mechanical engineer and technical business economist simply feels at home in the world of metal processing. The sports enthusiast was able to expand his extensive expertise in machining, as well as foundry and cutting technology, to include additive manufacturing back in 2015. It all started 12 years ago, with his training as a metal finisher at our sister company, WEBO. Here he was able to acquire a lot of know-how over the years. But who doesn't like to learn something new from time to time? And so it happened that Fabi's path led him to KOLIBRI, where he can now expand his knowledge and skills, especially in the field of additive manufacturing.
Our Potsdam veteran developed his love for the world of additive manufacturing while he was still studying mechanical engineering. Soon it was even an integral part of his free time. But we owe it to another hobby, snowboarding, that he was drawn to us, to the south.
After successfully completing his mechanical engineering with a focus on non-cutting metal processing (forming technology) and additional business administration training at the University of Kassel, he held various managerial positions at well-known companies. But it wasn't long before he founded his own company, FormTechnology GmbH. The founding of WEBO GmbH, as well as various worldwide subsidiaries of WEBO and soon KOLIBRI Metals GmbH, followed in quick succession. You certainly won't get bored, and if you do, then he dedicates himself to creating new patents. It's just good that the father of five still has time for his family, his hobbies, skiing, mountain biking as well as for art and culture, and for caring for and driving his vintage cars.
